Worldwide Database
For use with Presagis CDB-enabled COTS tools, the Presagis Worldwide database (WWDB) is a synthetic database of the world in the open Common Database (CDB) format.
The WWDB provides a baseline CDB dataset that can be used ‘as is’ or enhanced with a higher degree of visual representation and detail. Because WWDB is designed to be highly extensible and scalable, users can work with the existing content and define higher resolution areas as well as seamlessly add and refine zones around the globe.
Imagery and Material Resolution
Throughout the world land coverage, the WWDB model is textured at 32 m resolution. Textures are compressed at a ratio of 10:1 using a JPEG2000 compression engine. WWDB imagery and material maps are displayed at the same resolution, and imagery and material are synthesized from both VMAP & Elevation.
Elevation accuracy
DTED Level 0.
Vector source data
The WWDB model is constructed using Vector Map (VMAP) Level 0 as vector source data. The source dictates the location and shape of the main features, such as forests, water bodies, urban areas, and road networks. VMAP Level 0 data accuracy is equivalent to 1:500000 scale maps.
Two high-resolution insets included with WWDB:
Camp Pendleton – 2 geo-units, 1m color imagery, Urban and Airport Models
South Korea – 1 Geo-unit, 1m Color imagery
WWDB is compatible with the following Presagis software products:
Terra Vista 6.0 and later versions
STAGE 6.0 and later versions
Vega Prime 4.0 and later versions
Thea Lite 1.0 and later versions
