STAGE High Density
STAGE HD is a powerful and flexible simulation solution developed to help alleviate the performance bottlenecks frequently encountered when conducting training and testing in large scale simulation environments.
In order to run dense simulations, users must generally split a scenario between multiple computers using distributed exercises that often make use of classic network tricks. Depending on the complexity of the simulation application scenario, these approaches can constrain performance and introduce additional, unnecessary risks and costs.
Presagis and Wild Systems have developed a solution to address this problem, and the challenges associated with running extremely large entity count simulation exercises, by delivering STAGE High Density (HD).
STAGE HD is a powerful and flexible simulation solution developed to help alleviate the performance bottlenecks frequently encountered when conducting training and testing in large scale simulation environments. It allows users to create large scenarios while also reducing the risks associated with deploying these simulations and removing the need to choose between simulation accuracy and entity volume.
Leveraging the Scalability & Flexibility of STAGE
STAGE is a powerful, open, and flexible simulation software that can simulate thousands of complex entities at real-time rates with no frame overruns. STAGE HD builds on the features and functions of STAGE to further meet high performance computing requirements. It provides the user with the ability to simulate up to 10 times the number of active systems within a real-time simulation.
Wild Node
STAGE HD includes powerful software libraries and the STAGE simulation engine that has been optimized to run on the Wild Node from Wild Systems, a powerful hardware platform designed to address the current trend and requirement for increased parallelism in chip design. As part of STAGE HD, the Wild Node is a computing appliance running a simulation that connects to a computer to provide high performance capability via parallel computing functions.
STAGE HD Benefits
Ease of Use
STAGE HD is easy to configure and can be operational in minutes. Users simply connect the Wild Node hardware to their network and install the STAGE HD Node Manager software to configure and monitor STAGE and the Wild Node. A plug-and-play solution, there is no new software or hardware training required to use STAGE HD.
Reliability and High Performance
STAGE HD allows users to:
- Create and run scenarios that are 10x more dense than classic configurations; including higher fidelity simulation models, larger-scale simulation exercises, and faster simulation rates.
- Generate reliable data in high density simulations by leveraging parallel computing.
- Use the same simulation application and related hardware with STAGE HD and achieve higher performance.
Flexibility
By leveraging the existing flexibility of STAGE, Presagis and Wild Systems developed an architecture that allows users to create their own User Modules and to leverage STAGE IDE to generate new simulation extensions.
In addition, due to the shared software architecture with STAGE, previously developed modules can also be run using STAGE HD.
